For Rooney's last show of their Cosmic Interlude tour, they brought the memories of Californian summers, beachy vibes, and 00's TV shows to Rock and Roll Hotel. With a new single called “Do you Believe,” Rooney has moved into a new direction compared to their previous releases. Nevertheless, the engaging attitude of Schwartzman and company was more than enough to capture the audience with great and catchy songs like “I’m Shakin’” and “Where Did Your Heart Go Missing?”
Opening for Rooney was Mating Ritual, an independent LA duo headed by Ryan Marshall, who displayed some captivating dance moves that were hard to turn away from. Northern Virginia rock band Milo in the Doldrums gave the mostly-Californian billing some East Coast representation. Their performance was freewheeling and enjoyable to watch as they had a lot of fun on stage.
