Passion Pit recently celebrated the end of their 10th-anniversary tour of the album Manners at The Anthem in Washington, D.C. Fronted by the charismatic Michael Angelakos, the band performed the album in full, plus treated fans to other songs in their catalog, like “Lifted Up (1985),” “Constant Conversations,” and the catchy pop anthem “Carried Away.” The excitement and gratefulness of Angelakos throughout the performance made the audience feel the engagement of the band with the show, making the venue become a dance floor full of moves, jumping, and people singing along.
Opening for Passion Pit was the Toronto rock band The Beaches. Their feminine energy and empowerment, fun and defiant attitude, powerful drums, and noisy guitars set the tone for the rest of the evening. The Beaches’ latest release, The Professional, is now available on all platforms.
