It only took an American to suggest that the Aussie band, Atlas Genius, pay tribute to their homeland by playing at the Australian Embassy in Washington DC. The intimate show was an exclusive event only open to local radio station, DC101 and their radio winners. Prize package included a Chipotle lunch while being serenaded by the band from Adelaide.

Atlas Genius began a more stripped-down version of their songs with “Backseat” and then transitioned nicely into “Symptoms”. With their debut EP currently out, Atlas Genius played their songs from their Through the Glass EP in its entirety.

A song to highlight (and NOT on their EP) was their single “If So” which lead singer, Keith Jeffrey, happily boasted as being chosen for the upcoming FIFA 13. The game is available on Xbox and PS3 platforms.

The band ended on a high note and finished their set with their first single release, “Trojans”. The catchy tune caught the attention of the room and even brought some attendees to stand up in admiration. This band is going to be big and, we were all there to witness the beginning stages of what will surely be an amazing career.
