DC-based Latin/folk musician Elena Lacayo and her band recently performed at Pearl Street Warehouse to celebrate the vinyl release of her band’s most recent album, Volcán. (Not that this is the only thing Lacayo is celebrating - she’s also celebrating a Latin Grammy nomination with the all-female mariachi group Flor de Toloache, where she contributes on guitarrón.) They brought some other DC-based artists along for the ride too, with hip-hop artist Christylez Bacon performing alongside the band and Brazilian singer-songwriter Cissa Paz opening.
