Episode 64: The Parlor Sessions
Dean Fields, Andy Zipf, Jason Myles Goss and Eliot Bronson are all accomplished musicians on their own, but now they've joined forces and are hitting the road with a show they've dubbed The Parlor Sessions.
Over the next two weeks this newly formed band of brothers will be delivering a uniquely intimate night of music up and down the East coast. After their stop here in DC the guys stopped by to talk about the genesis of The Parlor Sessions, how the experience hasn't been quite what they expected in the best ways possible, and what they see the future holds for each of the guys individually and together as The Parlor Sessions.

Dean Fields makes americana music with members of Ryan Adams, Bon Iver, and Wilco. His new album was co-written with #1 writer Lori McKenna and Grammy winner Rebecca Lynn Howard. Rosanne Cash said “Dean Fields is a great songwriter!” (Yep, Johnny Cash’s daughter).
Andy Zipf songs are “one great hook after another” says Paste Magazine. His music is favored by American Songwriter, XM Satellite Radio, and Daytrotter. One of the pioneers of crowd funding, Andy raised 45K for his album produced by Jim Barber (Ryan Adams, Courtney Love).
Jason Myles Goss had the top 100 most downloaded songs for singer/songwriters on iTunes featuring members of Josh Ritter’s Royal City Band. Matt Smith, manager of Club Passim said “He’s got the passion of Bruce Springsteen, the hooks of Tom Petty, the earthiness of John Fogerty and the bite of Randy Newman.”
Eliot Bronson was dubbed a “folk-singer wunderkind” by The Baltimore Sun. He took first place in MerleFest’s Chris Austin Songwriting Contest and won the coveted songwriters shootout at Eddie Owen Presents, among others. His latest critically acclaimed solo album,Milwaukee, features members of Sugarland and the BoDeans.
